
ABOUT ME
​
​Ettel Velázquez is a Mexican filmmaker and editor based in the UK.
With over seven years of experience as a producer and editor in advertising for a leading tech company in México, she now works independently, focusing on projects with social impact.
​Her work has received international recognition, including a Gold Brandor Medal from Veredictas for the advertising campaign “Celebra” for Mezcal El León de Agave.​
The films she has edited have been selected by renowned festivals such as the BAFTA Student Awards longlist, BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, and Raindance Film Festival.​
Ettel graduated from Tecnológico de Monterrey, holds a Diploma in Performing Arts, and is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Editing at the National Film and Television School in the UK.
She specializes in editing both fiction and documentary films, with a strong interest in storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices.​​​
